The following privacy policy will apply to all individuals who choose our services:
- At CFM all counselling sessions will be 100% confidential. The only times confidentially is legally allowed to be breached is; if anyone is at risk of harming themself which may result in death, if anyone is at risk of harming somebody else, and if child is at risk of endangerment.
- At CFM all clients notes will be safely stored using a national recognized software CRMS 3.0. This software is ideal for community mental health agencies, hospital psychiatric departments, addiction centres, child and youth programs, correctional facilities, supportive housing providers, ACT teams, crisis call centres, mobile crisis teams, crisis centres, sexual assault centres, clubhouses, consumer/survivor initiative groups, brain injury service organizations, school board mental health and community service agencies.
- Social workers establish appropriate boundaries in relationships with clients and ensure that the relationship serves the needs of clients.
- Social workers value openness and transparency in professional practice and avoid relationships where their integrity or impartiality may be compromised, ensuring that should a conflict of interest be unavoidable, the nature of the conflict is fully disclosed.
- Clients are not permitted to record any counseling sessions.
